Day 1 Nairobi to Lake Baringo by private drive
Welcome to take our Kenya private tour with daily departure, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will enjoy a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people.
Have breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi and then check out with all your belongings. Your English-speaking driver guide will come to meet you at around 8:00. Then head for the Lake Baringo, which takes about 5 hours on the way.
Have a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will enjoy a specular view of the largest valley in the world as well as the Mount Longonot and the escarpments. Arrive at the lake and check in at the lodge. After a short break, you will take a one-hour boat ride on the island to view birds and hippos in the lake and then visit a Njemps tribal village to see their interesting way of life.

Day 2 Drive to Lake Bogoria and then to Mt. Elgon
Drive to the Lake Bogoria. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to take a leisurely walk circling the lake to appreciate its picturesque scenery and looking at the flocks of flamingos from a distance.
Afterwards, drive to the Mt. Elgon National Park with lunch enroute. About 5.5 hours will be spent on the way.

Day 3 Visit Mt. Elgon National Park
Full day visit to Mt. Elgon, it is Kenya’s second highest mountain after Mt. Kenya. It lies 140 kilometers (87 miles) north east of the Lake Victoria and is bisected by the Kenya Uganda boundary. This National Park is home to a plethora of wildlife. Then explore its famous Elephant Caves and learn about the caves history.

Day 4 Drive to Kakamega Forest
Drive for 4.5 hours to the Kakamega Forest National Reserve, it is the only tropical rainforest left in Kenya and it is home to a variety of birds, butterflies, primates, plants, mammals, beetles and reptiles. You will enjoy activities of game viewing and bird watching here.

Day 5 Drive to Kisumu
Drive for 1.5 hours to Kisumu. Upon arrival, visit the Impala Sanctuary, a home for rescued wildlife, including impalas, the rare Sitatunga antelope as well as big cats, buffalos, giraffes and a number of several primate species and cheetahs.
Then visit the Kisumu Museum, which is a nice place to learn about the Luo culture and people’s way of living, see their full-scale tribe village and even enter different homes. You will also see a variety of animals here. The last stop today is Dunga Bay, where you can take a boat trip to watch the hippos and enjoy an amazing sunset view of the Lake Victoria.

Day 6 Drive to Rusinga Island (Lake Victoria)
Drive around 3 hours to the Rusinga Island. Upon arrival, check into the Rusinga Island Lodge, a luxurious beach getaway, and stay in a comfortable thatched cottage that has scenic views over the sparking water. Spend your time at leisure and enjoy lodge amenities.

Day 7 Rusinga Island
It is a relaxing day for you. Your lodge offers many options that you can choose at the extra cost. You could also relax at the lodge or go cycling to explore the island.

Day 8 Drive to Ruma National Park, and then to Kericho
Drive around 1.5 hours to the Ruma National Park and enjoy an exciting game drive there. Afterwards, drive around 3 hours to Kericho, which is a county home to the best of Kenyan Tea. Therefore, it will offer you breath-taking scenes of the vast tea plantations in the surroundings.

Day 9 Drive from Kericho to Lake Nakuru
Drive around 2.5 hours to the Lake Nakuru National Park, aka Bird’s Paradise. Check into the lodge upon arrival. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game safari around the lake. The salt lake is endowed with lush forests and grasslands on its banks. Here, you can see many species of birds, including sandpipers, cuckoos, kingfishers, starlings, sunbirds, etc.

Day 10 Drive back to Nairobi
Make full use of your time to enjoy a morning game drive after breakfast. Then, you will check out from the lodge and drive along the scenic road for around 3 hours back to Nairobi. We can send you back to the hotel you have reserved or to the airport for your outbound flight.
