Ratel Safaris is a female-owned tour company that is primarily committed to empowering women in the southern part of Uganda, specifically in the national parks of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, in order to promote gender equality, sustainable development, and wildlife conservation. Ratel Safaris integrates tourism and development in southwest Uganda, a region known for its biodiversity and natural beauty. The company addresses socio-economic issues affecting local communities, which in turn impacts conservation efforts. Recognizing the vital role of women, Ratel Safaris empowers them with knowledge and skills in agribusiness and poultry, promoting sustainable development.

Market Links

Ratel Safaris forms alliances with eco-lodges and lodges to create sustainable markets for goods produced by women entrepreneurs, who supply fresh, organic food to nearby lodges and hotels, ensuring their financial independence.
