Detailed Itinerary of 4 Days Uganda Fly-in Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Spend the rest of the day at the hotel resting recovering from the jetlag.

Day 2: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy an early breakfast and be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kisoro. The flight is approximately one hour and on arrival you will be welcomed by your driver-guide and head to your lodge.

In the afternoon, you will head out for an optional community on which you will encounter the local people, interact with them and get to learn their traditions, culture and way of life. Return to your lodge and spend the evening around campfire with fellow visitors.

Gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest National Park

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience

After a delicious breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking from a senior ranger guide, who will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the presence of the gorillas. In groups of 8 people, head into the forest led by armed rangers and guides searching for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night.

The trek is kind of demanding and strenuous and be the thrill of seeing our closest relatives – the gentle giants will erase all the difficulties. Each encounter with mountain gorillas is different and has its own rewards but you will enjoy viewing the adults feeding, grooming and resting, while the youngsters frolic and swinging from vines in a playful display. After the trek you will trek back to the starting point, meet your driver-guide and return to your lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Departure

After an early breakfast, depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your domestic flight back to Entebbe International Airport where you will connect for international flight back home for to your next destination.
